Prosthetic Leg

The Problem
There is a huge need among child amputees for an adjustable prosthesis that grows with them such that multiple prostheses of different sizes are not necessary
Our Solution
As a part of our undergraduate capstone design project, we built a continuously adjustable prosthetic leg that not only lengthens as a child grows taller, but also accomodates changes in leg diameter
My Role
Through literature research, prototyping and testing, I developed an adjustable socket that allows for a range of leg diameters to adhere to the entire prosthesis through inflatable air-bladders
